  • As part of its 10th anniversary celebrations, Conrad Xiamen will offer a limited time dining experience that honors the city’s music, food and local traditions.
  • Conrad Xiamen also offers the Conrad 1/3/5 program, where guests can explore cooking classes and city walks on Gulangyu island across one, three and five-hour durations.

XIAMEN, China – Conrad Curates at Conrad Xiamen marks the first time the brand’s signature platform has been introduced to China. Celebrating its 10th anniversary, Conrad Xiamen brings the program to life through a limited-time dining and cultural experience inspired by Fujian’s rich musical and culinary heritage. The experience invites guests to discover the destination through contemporary interpretations of Nanyin, seasonal Fujian ingredients, locally sourced teas and immersive cultural encounters that extend from the hotel to the historic island of Gulangyu.

Through collaborations across art, design, gastronomy and culture, Conrad Curates creates immersive experiences that foster meaningful connections between travelers and destinations. Rooted in local heritage, creativity and community, the program offers new ways to discover the distinctive character of each destination.

Following previous Conrad Curates activations across Asia Pacific – from The Art of Experiential Dining at Conrad Pune and Conrad Bengaluru, which reinterpreted the culinary traditions of 19th-century Indian royalty through a contemporary lens, to The Art of Analogue Discovery at Conrad Seoul in collaboration with Lomography, which invited guests to capture moments of inspiration through analogue photography – Conrad Xiamen now serves as the setting for the platform’s debut in China, introducing a destination-led interpretation shaped by the city’s unique cultural identity and sense of place.

“Today’s luxury travellers are seeking deeper meaning and emotional connection in the places they visit. At Conrad Hotels & Resorts, we are committed to inspiring guests through thoughtfully curated, locally rooted experiences that bring each destination to life,” said Candice D’Cruz, Vice President, Luxury Brands, Asia Pacific, Hilton. “The Conrad Curates brand platform serves as a catalyst for connecting guests with the soul of a destination through its design, music and cuisine, while the Conrad 1/3/5 program simplifies planning, giving guests more time to immerse themselves in experiences that are truly meaningful.”

The Conrad Xiamen edition draws inspiration from the city’s distinctive musical heritage and culinary traditions, extending the experience across both the hotel and the destination to create an immersive sensory journey. The Art of Experiential Dining, a key component of the program, showcases seasonal ingredients and celebrated teas from Fujian Province, with live musical performances further reinforcing aspects of Minnan’s intangible cultural heritage. A young ensemble trained under masters of traditional arts reimagines Nanyin – often described as a “living fossil” of Chinese music history – while an interdisciplinary dialogue between long-silk puppetry and violin performance bridges the boundaries between traditional art forms and contemporary musical expression.

As the only luxury hotel in Xiamen with two restaurants featured in the Fujian Michelin Guide, Conrad Xiamen offers a deep interpretation of Fujian’s local ingredients and contemporary dining culture through the interplay of music and gastronomy. This immersive sensory journey will be available to the public from June 30 to December 30, 2026.

Max Mo, general manager, Conrad Xiamen, said, “As Conrad Xiamen celebrates its 10th anniversary, we are delighted to host the debut of Conrad Curates in China. Over the past decade, we have remained deeply connected to the city, offering luxury hospitality that bridges guests and destinations. Looking ahead, we invite guests to discover Xiamen from Conrad through music, culture and local lifestyle experiences that reveal the city’s distinctive character.”

Beyond the curated dining experience, Conrad Xiamen continues to offer its interpretation of the brand’s signature Conrad 1/3/5 program, where guests explore destinations at their own pace with curated one-, three- and five- hour itineraries. Guests may take part in a one-hour in-house cooking class to learn how to prepare local specialties; embark on a three-hour journey to Gulangyu Island’s century-old “Four-courtyard Mansion”, following a curated route that connects landscapes, tea varieties and culinary traditions to offer deeper insight into Fujian’s tea culture; or, with more time, spend five hours exploring Gulangyu in greater depth, joining Mr. Huang Changjia from the Gulangyu Oral History Association for a cultural walk, or visiting a local market with the hotel’s executive chef to co-create a bespoke dining experience.

With recent signings of Conrad Ulaanbaatar and Conrad Kobe, as well as upcoming openings in Nagoya and Bangkok, Conrad Hotels & Resorts is accelerating its expansion in Asia Pacific – a region that now represents more than half of the brand’s global supply and pipeline.
