DoubleTree by Hilton Alice Springs Completes $6 Million Refurbishment

The hotel’s 236 guest rooms and suites have been completely upgraded

ALICE SPRINGS, Northern Territory - After a carefully orchestrated four-month refurbishment program, DoubleTree by Hilton Alice Springs has unveiled a stunning transformation of its guest rooms and suites, welcoming guests to contemporary, comfortable accommodations.

Designed by CIRCA 2000, all 236 guest rooms and suites have been transformed with DoubleTree Sweet Dreams Sleep Experience beds, upholstered contemporary lounges, dining and balcony furniture, new ergonomic office desks and chairs, high-quality Italian fabric block out and sheer curtains, adjustable LED lighting and Australian-made high-pile carpets. Additionally, the guest rooms and suites now boast modern bathroom fittings and fitments, including multi-function rail showers, composite stone vanity units and rimless toilet suites.

Connectivity throughout the hotel has also been upgraded, including updating in-room entertainment with 55-inch smart televisions, providing guests with the similar comforts of home by allowing them to stream their own content within their guest room.

Offering a unique Australian outback accommodation experience, the colour palette throughout the hotel is composed of cool dusty shades reflected in paint colours, carpets, composite stones and timber veneers. Added black, white, red and tan color accents represent the tones of the Red Centre region.

“The renovation is the first step in a new chapter – not just for the hotel, but for the entire destination,” said Giorgio Romein, hotel manager, DoubleTree by Hilton Alice Springs. “Our refreshed hotel will help meet the growing need for quality accommodations in Alice Springs, and I am confident our team will deliver a guest experience that rivals the finished product, resulting in a premier experience for our guests.”

Describing the inspiration behind the hotel makeover, Chaitanya Rane, cluster commercial director, Hilton Northern Territory, said, “The rooms and suites are designed to provide a sense of contemporary comfort and understated indulgence. As the leading hotel in the market, we look forward to offering our unparalleled service with a new product that appeals to travellers all around the globe and here at home.”

Located between the Todd River and Alice Springs Golf Club, and with the MacDonnell Ranges as an awe-inspiring backdrop, DoubleTree by Hilton Alice Springs offers an ideal location for exploring the region. The hotel is only 15 kilometers from Alice Springs Airport, and within walking distance of downtown and the Alice Springs Convention Centre. Additional hotel highlights include a 24-hour fitness centre, two tennis courts, a heated outdoor pool overlooking the lush garden landscape, an 18-hole golf course located next door and five function rooms with outdoor breakout spaces and offsite catering options.

Guests can enjoy an innovative menu at Saltbush Restaurant, which highlights modern Australian cuisine and boasts a welcoming atmosphere, as well as indulge in a signature, warm DoubleTree chocolate chip cookie upon arrival at the hotel.
