Hampton by Hilton and Plateno Group Celebrate 6th Anniversary of Partnership in China

More than 500 Hampton by Hilton hotels signed and over 150 hotels opened across nearly 100 cities to date

SHENZHEN, China - As a pioneer of brand cooperation between Chinese hoteliers and international hotel chains, Hampton by Hilton today ushers in an important milestone for its journey in China. The brand celebrates its sixth year of partnership with Plateno Group (now part of Jin Jiang Hotels China Region) which has seen more than 500 properties signed across all the provinces of Chinese mainland, and more than 150 hotels opened across nearly 100 cities. The significant achievements of the brand in China are a testament to the successful partnership between the two groups, demonstrating the strength of the focused-service brand.

1+1>2, the successful localization in China

On Oct.30, 2014, Hilton and Plateno Group (now part of Jin Jiang Hotels China Region) officially announced their cooperation to bring the Hampton by Hilton brand to China. Because of Hilton's brand recognition and strong track record, coupled with Plateno Group's years of market development capabilities and brand operation capabilities in China, the two groups have achieved a win-win development model of 1+1>2. Considering the specific needs of China’s market, the brand standards of Hampton by Hilton have also been successfully localized. With the stylish and modern product designs and unique happy services, Hampton brand has provided nearly 10 million guests with a high-quality stay experience.

Rapid development, continuing to lead the upper-midscale hotel market

Since entering China, Hampton by Hilton has seen a steady pace of development. In September 2020, with the signing of Hampton by Hilton Lhasa Lagong Avenue, the total number of Hampton properties signed in China exceeded 500, leading the upper-midscale hotel market in China as one of the largest international hotel brands. At the same time, based on the excellent investment return of the first hotel that exceeded expectations, dozens of investors have completed the signing of the second and more Hampton by Hilton hotels. On October 24th, 2020, the 150th Hampton by Hilton hotel in China opened, which is also the second property invested by the investor of Hampton by Hilton Changsha South Station.
