  • With more than 160 trading luxury and lifestyle hotels in APAC, Hilton’s portfolio will grow by at least another 50% in the coming years
  • Hilton’s global luxury and lifestyle portfolios reached the 1,000th hotel milestone this year with nearly 500 more hotels in the pipeline

SINGAPORE – With recent openings in Hong Kong, Qingdao and Osaka, Hilton has surpassed 160 trading hotels across its luxury and lifestyle categories in Asia Pacific. The growth in the sector is fueled by growing customer demand for unique, experience-driven stays as travel and tourism continues its upward momentum in the region. Demonstrating the opportunity and momentum in the segments, signings for new luxury and lifestyle properties are gathering pace, with Hilton expecting to grow its supply by at least another 50% in luxury and lifestyle in the years ahead.

Just last month, Hilton opened Motto by Hilton Hong Kong Soho, marking the lifestyle brand’s debut in the region, adding a clever, connected hotel experience to the company’s Asia Pacific estate. The brand is characterized by intentionally designed guest rooms, active public spaces and locally inspired food and beverage options for guests and locals alike. This follows the debut of Waldorf Astoria Osaka and the opening of Secan Hotel Qingdao, Curio Collection by Hilton this year.

In the next 12 months, Hilton will open Waldorf Astoria Shanghai Qiantan; Canopy by Hilton Shanghai Belfry Plaza; KROMO Bangkok, Curio Collection by Hilton; Kahavadi Chiang Rai, Curio Collection by Hilton and Nivata Koh Samui, Tapestry Collection by Hilton. Hilton’s rapidly expanding portfolio includes Waldorf Astoria Bali, the first Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts property in Indonesia debuting in 2027, while in 2026 NoMad Singapore and Canopy by Hilton Makati in the Philippines will open their doors.

“Asia Pacific continues to be an engine of growth for Hilton’s luxury and lifestyle brands. The appetite for distinctive, experience-led stays is stronger than ever, and Hilton is proud to lead the way in shaping the future of hospitality in this vibrant region,” said Alan Watts, president, Asia Pacific, Hilton.

Over the coming years, Hilton will open seven Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts properties in Kuala Lumpur, Hanoi, Sydney, Xi’an, Tokyo, Delhi and Bali. Conrad Hotels & Resorts will expand in Jaipur, Kuala Lumpur, Nagoya, Bangkok and several locations across China. LXR Hotels & Resorts will debut in Bengaluru, Hiroshima as well as Xi’an and Signia by Hilton will debut in India. Curio Collection by Hilton will arrive in Bengaluru, Wuxi and Langkawi, while Canopy by Hilton will open its doors in Bangkok and Okinawa.

“Hilton brands lead the industry in terms of rooms under construction in this region. In Asia Pacific we are on track to double our presence of Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts, Conrad Hotels & Resorts and LXR Hotels & Resorts properties in Asia Pacific, while debuting NoMad and Signia by Hilton and expanding our lifestyle brands which are seeing surging interest from owners across the region,” said Clarence Tan, senior vice president, Development, Asia Pacific, Hilton.

Hilton has expanded its luxury and lifestyle offerings following the company’s acquisition of a majority controlling stake in Sydell Group to expand the NoMad brand worldwide, as well as forming an exclusive partnership with Small Luxury Hotels of the World, giving guests access to hundreds of independently minded luxury hotels in sought-after destinations globally.

Building on these additions, this year Hilton has added more than 100 future luxury and lifestyle hotels to its global development pipeline. Around the world, Hilton expects to add three new luxury and lifestyle hotels per week in 2025, bringing 150 more hotels into its luxury and lifestyle portfolio this year.
