Meet The Hilton Pride Squad: Team Members Will Showcase Pride Celebrations on Social Channels Throughout June

Hilton Pride Squad

The inaugural Hilton Pride Squad— Hilton team members who have been chosen to visit select Pride events around the United States and United Kingdom—will document their travels on Hilton’s official social channels. They’ll share their favorite LGBTQ+-friendly stops in their destination city, give insider tips on how you can make the most of your Pride getaways, and more.

The first member of Hilton’s Pride Squad that we’ll meet is Dannii Ceniceros, a social media community manager, who is looking forward to representing Hilton to the Dallas LGBTQ+ community.

“I’ve been at Hilton for a little over seven months now and it’s been such a fantastic ride,” Ceniceros said. “I literally have the most supportive team in the world, and it makes me truly happy. Representation is always needed, and I think it’s important for other young LGBTQ+ folks to know that there are workspaces that will love you and appreciate you for who you are. Hilton has provided that safe space for me.”

Hilton team member Beth Campion, director, Hilton Worldwide Sales, will show us around DC Pride this year. She’s excited to celebrate Pride with her son Grant and the rest of her family in Washington, D.C.

“I look forward to participating in Pride with my family and Hilton,” Campion said. “This will be our first Pride parade as a family where we are all in the same place at the same time celebrating the same cause! We are so proud of our son, his journey, and his tribe of supporters.”

Hilton team member Aftab Pathan, destination marketing manager, Continental Europe, is looking forward to leading the Hilton Pride Squad in London, especially this year, as the LGBTQ+ community marks a special milestone this summer.

“I’m looking forward to celebrating a momentous occasion in history—50 years of Pride events in the U.K.— and also continuing to show solidarity for the LGBTQ+ community through various celebrations, in the hope that we can continue to move forward to an era of acceptance. After all, love is love,” Pathan said. “Being a part of the Pride march for the first time will be one way I’ll be making the most of this year’s Pride, but also all the other fun activities and events we have planned for Pride in London, including an exclusive Hilton rooftop Pride party.”

The Pride Squad activities complement Hilton’s already robust activities during Pride Month, which are led by its Pride Team Member Resource Group. Earlier this month, Hilton was named #1 by DiversityInc as Top Company for Employee Resource Groups. The Pride TMRG has a number of internal activations throughout the month including communications from senior leadership and virtual events to reach team members across the globe. This year’s signature event will feature LGBTQ+ influencers, Ravi (@RaviRoundtheWorld) and Gabi + Shanna (@27Travels).

“At Hilton, we bring the light and warmth of hospitality to the world by bringing our authentic selves to work each and every day. Our Pride TMRG exemplifies this purpose, while boldly standing together and strengthening our bonds as LGBTQ+ community members and allies. While there is work to be done, Pride 2022 is a moment of celebration for our diversity and our commitment to welcoming all at Hilton," said Gary Steffen, global head, Full Service Category and Hilton Leadership Group Advocate, Pride TMRG.
