Vincent Ong is the Vice President for Full Service Brands, Asia Pacific (APAC). With a stellar career spanning 20 years of driving brand and marketing strategies across various categories, Vincent is the Brand Leader for Hilton Hotels & Resorts, DoubleTree by Hilton and Signia by Hilton for APAC and leads the development and execution of Hilton’s Full Service brand strategies across the region. His priority is to amplify the vision for each of the brands in the category – driving brand differentiation, guest satisfaction and premium returns for owners.
Most recently, Vincent served as Club Med’s Senior Vice President of Marketing APAC where he headed up marketing for the Asia Pacific region encompassing Brand and Tactical Marketing across Digital, Communications and Public Relations, Customer Relationship Management (CRM), as well as Loyalty and Brand Partnerships. In his role, he defined and executed the regional vision and overall marketing strategy aimed at brand building and demand generation into Club Med resorts. He was also the concurrent SVP of Commercial, Southeast Asia (SEA) where he was responsible for increasing the SEA top-line business and contributing to the growth acceleration in the APAC Business Unit.
Prior to joining Cub Med, Vincent was the Asia Pacific Senior Director of Brand Management for five differentiated lifestyle hotel brands under Starwood Hotels & Resorts (subsequently Marriott International) from 2007 to 2016. As Brand Leader of Sheraton Hotels & Resorts, Westin Hotels & Resorts, Four Points by Sheraton, Aloft Hotels and Element Hotels, he led and managed Brand Management and Brand Marketing for these brands covering over 250 hotels across 20 countries. Vincent was also part of the extended Global Brand team to conceptualize, develop and roll-out guest experience initiatives aimed at bringing signature brand experiences to life.
Vincent started his career in hospitality in 2003 as the Director of Six Sigma for the Sheraton Imperial Kuala Lumpur, managing and implementing business performance improvement projects and operational excellence across different properties. Prior to that, he was with Accenture where he led teams and consulted for financial services organisations, government bodies and private sector companies in strategy, business planning, process re-engineering and mergers & acquisitions.
Vincent holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) degree with a major in Accounting from the University of New South Wales, Sydney, Australia. He is a Certified Practicing Accountant with CPA, Australia and holds a certification in Logistics and Supply Chain Management. A Malaysian by birth, Vincent now resides in Singapore and is passionate about thriving through physical and mental well-being, choosing to unwind during his downtime by going to the gym, golfing and playing tennis.
