SINGAPORE - DoubleTree by Hilton, one of the fastest-growing brands under Hilton’s (NYSE: HLT) portfolio, continues to bring its distinct brand of upscale comfort to guests, catering to South East Asia’s pent-up domestic travel demand and the return of intra-regional travel as borders begin to open and dedicated travel lanes emerge. Signaling the brand’s robust growth momentum, Hilton is slated to open 15 DoubleTree by Hilton hotels in South East Asia over the coming years across key and emerging destinations.
“Following the reopening of domestic and international borders, the surge in travel demand we’ve observed across international markets after an extended period of disconnect shows that travelers are eager to hit the road, reconnect and seek out new experiences once more,” said Paul Hutton, area vice president, head of South East Asia, Hilton. “More than ever, regardless of the reason for travel, consumers expect comfort, service and safety in the hotels they choose. DoubleTree by Hilton is poised to not only meet, but exceed, travelers’ evolving needs and expectations as it continues expanding to new locales in Malaysia, Indonesia, and other well-loved and upcoming destinations in the region.”
Over the past year, Hilton has launched brand-defining hotels and resorts under the DoubleTree by Hilton brand across the region, with notable debuts in new destinations, such as DoubleTree by Hilton Weerawila Rajawarna Resort in Sri Lanka and DoubleTree by Hilton Surabaya, which marked Hilton’s entry into Indonesia’s second-largest city. Most recently, DoubleTree by Hilton Putrajaya Lakeside opened its doors in Malaysia as the latest urban resort strategically located close to Kuala Lumpur, which is also one of the region’s key gateway cities. The 291-room hotel is Hilton’s first in Putrajaya, Malaysia’s administrative capital.
Over the coming years, the award-winning brand will mark its entrance into emerging destinations across South East Asia – catering to leisure and business travelers alike – supported by the region’s robust tourism potential in the long term. Upcoming hotels travelers can keep an eye out for include:
