Drive‑ or Walk‑Thru Holiday Decorations

Stop by your local Hilton for festive holiday celebrations or celebrate at home with homemade DoubleTree by Hilton cookies

For many people, traveling during the holiday season is as much of a tradition as decorating or making numerous platters of holiday cookies. The holidays are for reconnecting with loved ones, and some round out the year by burning through long-neglected vacation time and escaping the cold to tropical destinations – or seeking it out in the form of ski trips and other winter wonderland activities. Due to COVID-19, many of us are electing to stay home instead of traveling for the holidays, so keeping up with holiday traditions offers a much-needed sense of normalcy that the world has been craving this year.

Hilton is helping to spread holiday cheer this year with spectacular hotel decorations to be enjoyed by guests and passersby alike. Admire intricate exterior holiday illuminations, festive window displays and over-the-top walk-through lobby decor that transports you to a world of wonder. And for those who would rather celebrate by staying home and making cookies, or gifting a loved one a beloved bathrobe or signature Hilton bedding, Hilton has you covered.

Hotel del Coronado, Curio Collection by Hilton

Experience the magic of the holidays at Hotel del Coronado, Curio Collection by Hilton, America’s beachfront legend. The hotel’s signature red turrets, draped in thousands of sparkling lights, and the hotel’s Windsor Lawn, decked out in festive decorations, transform Southern California into a winter wonderland. Hotel guests and day visitors are all welcome to take a stroll through The Del’s socially distanced outdoor holiday celebration, complete with a towering beachfront Christmas tree, snowy surprises and garlands galore.

Leisure travel is currently banned in California due to statewide COVID-19 restrictions. Please check with the hotel and local regulations before finalizing any plans.

The Roosevelt New Orleans, a Waldorf Astoria Hotel

Imagine wandering through a snowy forest in the dead of winter. You admire the stars twinkling above as a steaming cup of hot cocoa warms your hands and the cool winter breeze blows by. Now, imagine visiting your local hotel for the same experience. The Roosevelt New Orleans, a Waldorf Astoria Hotel’s festive, forested lobby decor returns this year with added mask and socially distanced COVID-19 restrictions. The hotel’s city block-long holiday display features hundreds of thousands of lights, festive bows and garlands. Classic favorites include Christmas trees, winter branches and 2,200 glass ornaments. Hotel guests and day visitors are encouraged to take a break from shopping on Canal Street, enjoying Bourbon Street attractions and restaurants, and French Quarter sightseeing, all right around the corner, to stop in for a taste of holiday spirit at this famed and beloved New Orleans hotel.

The Drake Hotel

It’s beginning to look a lot like Drakemas, everywhere you turn – inside The Drake Hotel. In celebration of its 100th anniversary on New Year’s Eve this year, the historic hotel has been decorated to the nines with a grand foyer Christmas tree adorned with handcrafted decorations, holiday inspired floral installations, seasonal window displays along The Magnificent Mile – enticing last-minute holiday shoppers passing by – and hundreds of colorful holiday themed flourishes throughout to merrily welcome hotel guests and those briefly stopping by to admire the scene. If you’re looking for a real-life winter wonderland, there are few places more magical in the wintertime than Chicago, and even fewer as enchanting as wintertime at The Drake Hotel.

Waldorf Astoria Edinburgh – The Caledonian

Located on the dividing line of Central Edinburgh’s Old Town and New Town districts, Waldorf Astoria Edinburgh – The Caledonian is ideally nestled in the heart of Edinburgh’s city center. Although Edinburgh’s main Christmas festival has been cancelled this year, New Town – the hub of the city’s professional, commercial and business life, dominated by shops, banks and offices – will be transformed into a welcoming and safe, festive environment with plenty for people to look at as they walk through. If bright lights and festive decor is what you most look forward to each winter, this is your holiday playground. Pedestrians can check out Waldorf Astoria Edinburgh – The Caledonian’s decorations along the way. The hotel’s “Winter Wonderland” theme includes shimmering exterior holiday decorations and lights, lobby Christmas trees and garland adorned stairways and a custom-built Waldorf Astoria-branded sleigh.

Hilton Fukuoka Sea Hawk

Each winter, festive decorations and extravagant light shows signal the start of the holiday season, and this year is no exception. The holidays are “lit” at Hilton Fukuoka Sea Hawk, with sparkling decorations and illuminations catching the eye of passersby and lighting the hearts of hotel guests alike. Outside the main hotel entrance, shimmering lights and projections welcome visitors and draw the attention of onlookers. Inside the hotel, the fourth floor houses the hotel’s main Christmas tree and ornaments, as well as the guest-favorite photo booth featuring Santa’s sleigh; and at Brasserie & Lounge Seala, a Fukuoka dining icon, 27,000 light fixtures illuminate the spacious lounge space, adding to the hotel’s total 155,500 light decorations throughout. Whether you’re dropping in to enjoy the new Instagrammable “Hilton Sweets” dining experience, or simply driving by, the hotel’s holiday attractions can’t be missed.
