Is it really the first Saturday in May without this classic cocktail in hand? Give the traditional recipe a taste or shake things up with a non-alcoholic version in partnership with our friends at Lyre’s.
Ingredients
- 1½ oz Bourbon
- ¼ oz Simple syrup
- 8-10 Mint leaves
- 2 drops bitters
- Mint sprig garnish
Directions
- Add mint leaves and simple syrup directly to cup then muddle.
- Fill cup halfway with pebble ice and pour over bourbon.
- Stir gently until ingredients are combined and add more ice.
- Add two drops of bitters, garnish with mint sprig and enjoy.

Created by the team at Tempo by Hilton Louisville Downtown NuLu, the Donerail pays homage to the underdog thoroughbred with a Southern take on the classic Mint Julep.
Ingredients
- 1½ oz Black Tea Infused Bourbon
- 1½ oz Oleo Saccharum
- 8-10 Mint leaves
- Lemon wedge or mint bouquet garnish
Directions
- Add all ingredients to mixing glass.
- Add ice and stir until chilled.
- Strain into serving vessel over fresh pebble ice.
- Garnish with lemon wedge or mint bouquet and serve.

- ¾ oz. Simple syrup
