Tea and flowers are often two go-to gifts for the mothers, grandmothers (and other women caregivers) in our lives on Mother’s Day.
This year, take inspiration from Ginger.Lily at Hilton Singapore Orchard, which “blends” the two in the hotel’s popular botanical-themed afternoon tea where everything from the tea to the treats have a delicate and delicious floral touch.
While all of Ginger. Lily’s menus pay tribute to Orchard Road’s botanical history, the afternoon tea tells the “story” of Orchard Road through a charming pink storybook that unfolds to reveal a range of treats. Tea goers first choose from a selection of ten botanical teas, ranging from The Ginger Lily, a green tea infused with goji berries, to Supreme White Peony that contains 100% white tea buds, which they enjoy with vanilla Madagascar scones and mini savories like salt-crusted pork buns, grilled cheese and organic spinach sandwiches. Then the Ginger.Lily storybook is delivered, and diners can taste gourmet savouries like mini lobster rolls and Iberian ham crostini with baby dill. Enjoy a sweet ending with botanical-infused sweets like almond fig tarts, blue hibiscus white chocolate bars, and pink peppercorn cherry macarons.
A cocktail from the Bloom by Ginger.Lily collection, featuring an extensive botanical-themed menu, like The Full Bloom RinQuinQuin aperitif and the Kokum Spice which blends honey, lemon and coconut, can be added to the experience.
