How to Make a Pisco Sour at Motto by Hilton Cusco

How to Make a Pisco Sour according to Darcy Gòngora, a drinks advisor at newly opened Motto by Hilton in Cusco.
The Lima‑invented apéritif is ‘a must’ for travelers to Cusco

According to Darcy Gòngora, a drinks advisor at Motto by Hilton Cusco, a visit to Peru isn’t a true visit to Peru without trying a Pisco Sour cocktail.

“I personally believe there’s no other cocktail that better showcases the Peruvian spirit,” Gòngora said. “If you want to experience something very refreshing…a Pisco Sour is a really good option.”

And Gòngora would know. He’s worked in hospitality for almost twenty years, starting out his career serving beverages on luxury trains out of Cusco before moving into hotel bars. He joined Motto by Hilton Cusco as an opening day team member.

A classic South American beverage, a Pisco Sour combines Peru-made Pisco brandy, lime juice, simple syrup, and egg white for a clean and citrusy taste.
