The “War Eagle!” battle cry has been heard at Auburn University for more than a century, a tradition that started when a fan’s pet eagle took flight over the football field just as Auburn scored big against their rival team.

This tradition and more are celebrated at the newly-opened Graduate by Hilton Auburn, AL, located just steps from the university. The hotel’s immersive design combines hometown history, Tiger traditions, and college nostalgia for a uniquely local stay.

Auburn fans and alums won’t want to miss War Eagle Supper Club, a reimagined version of the town’s famed off-campus bar and music venue. Perched on the hotel’s rooftop, this newly opened indoor-outdoor bar and restaurant pays homage to 70 years of history and captures the essence of Auburn's storied past.

Even the menus are packed with history. The War Eagle Supper Club Classic Pizza is made with the same dough and sauce recipe as the club’s legendary original — the very first pizza served in Auburn in the 1950s. The Rosemary cocktail is a nod to Rosemary Anders, founder of Anders Bookstore, which stood where the hotel is today. And a new signature cocktail, the War Damn Eagle Spicy Margarita, is already a guest favorite.

Check out the recipe below to see how the mixologists at Graduate by Hilton Auburn, AL shake up this Southern take on a classic margarita.
