PARIS - In celebration of its 100th anniversary, Hilton has partnered with iconic Parisian brand Ladurée. The collaboration brings together two iconic brands with the creation of a limited-edition Piña Colada flavoured macaron, which will be available to sample at select Hilton properties in Paris, London and Dubai. The macaron was devised by Ladurée Pastry Chef Guillaume Kern, who was inspired by Hilton’s creation of the Piña Colada in 1954. The macaron will be available to guests at the following six hotels in France:
- Waldorf Astoria Versailles — Trianon Palace
- Maison Astor Paris, Curio Collection by Hilton
- Hilton Paris Opera
- Hilton Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport
- Hilton Paris La Defense
- Hampton by Hilton Paris Clichy
The hotels will celebrate the unique partnership by offering guests a range of experiences on-property, including:
- Delectable Piña Colada themed afternoon teas.
- Complimentary macarons with every order of the classic Piña Colada cocktail.
- Relaxing and rejuvenating spa experiences made even sweeter with a side of macarons.
- An exclusive cocktail masterclass, featuring the Piña Colada, at Hilton Paris Opera where guests can learn about the history and making of the legendary cocktail whilst indulging in mouthwatering macarons, right in the heart of the city.
The union between Hilton and Ladurée marks the culinary heritage of both brands. In addition to the creation of the Piña Colada, Hilton properties around the world are responsible for creating culinary innovations, including the brownie (Palmer House Hilton, 1893), Red Velvet Cake (Waldorf Astoria New York, 1930) and the Waldorf Salad (1896).
