Hilton Garden Inn Kyoto Shijo Karasuma is located in central Kyoto, only three minutes from Kyoto Station by subway and a four-minute walk from the Shijo and Gojo subway stations. The property is close to popular tourist attractions such as Gion, a tourist-favorite with its high concentration of traditional wooden machiya merchant houses, as well as Nijo Castle, a UNESCO world heritage site and one of the best surviving examples of palace architecture from Japan's feudal era. Situated within walking distance of shopping areas such as Nishiki Market and the business district, the hotel serves as a convenient base for both leisure and business travelers.
The nine-story, 250-room hotel features comfortable guest rooms combining traditional Japanese elements with modern sensibilities. The hotel offers nine types of guest rooms, ranging from functional standard 20 to 23-square meter layouts for up to two people, to 57-square meter premium family rooms that can accommodate up to six people comfortably.
