Hilton Honors Extends Rollover Nights Benefit for 2020, Helping All Members to Maintain or Upgrade Status

Recent program adjustments and everyday Points utilization provides even greater flexibility

During this difficult time for travelers, Hilton remains committed to providing maximum flexibility to its 108 million Hilton Honors members and guests around the world – from status and Points extensions to more contactless experiences through the Hilton Honors app.

Hilton Honors, the guest loyalty program of Hilton’s world-class portfolio of 18 brands, most recently announced an extension to its Rollover Nights benefit, allowing every night in 2020 to roll over to 2021, to help members maintain or upgrade their status. The benefit was previously exclusive to elite members and allowed applicable qualifying nights in excess of those required to meet a member’s respective elite status tier to roll over to the next calendar year. Now, all Hilton Honors members who stay between January 1 – December 31, 2020 will have all nights automatically roll over to count towards their 2021 through March 2023 tier status, when they book direct through Hilton.com or the Hilton Honors app.

Maximum Flexibility & Value

Hilton Honors has implemented several adjustments over the past few months to provide members even greater value and flexibility while their travels may be limited, including

  • 2019 Status Extension: All members whose 2019 status was scheduled to be downgraded on March 31, 2020 – whether Diamond, Gold or Silver – automatically receive an extension through March 31, 2021.
  • 2020 Status Extension: An extension to members’ 2020 status through March 31, 2022, to allow members to enjoy all the Diamond, Gold or Silver benefits for 24 months.
  • Points Extension: A pause on the expiration of all Points scheduled to expire between March 12 to December 31, 2020.
  • Weekend Night Rewards Earned on Eligible Hilton Credit Cards: An extension on the expiration date of all unexpired Weekend Night Rewards as of March 11, 2020, and all new ones issued until August 30, 2020, through the end of next summer (August 31, 2021).
  • 2020 Rollover Night Extension: All nights earned this year will automatically be rolled over to the 2021 calendar year and count towards members’ 2021-2023 tier status qualification.
