McLaren Racing today announced an extension to its partnership with Hilton, with the leading hospitality company continuing as Global Hotel Partner of the McLaren Formula 1 Team. The multi-year extension will see the partnership celebrate its 20-year anniversary in 2025, making Hilton McLaren Racing’s longest-standing current partner.
Since 2005, Hilton has served as the McLaren Formula 1 Team’s home-away-from-home, creating the stays that help everyone on the team perform their best throughout the race weekend.
Through the partnership, McLaren fans get access to unique content and experiences. And Hilton Honors members can get unprecedented, money-can’t-buy access to the McLaren Formula 1 Team. In 2023, this included hosting Hilton’s Stay on the Grid at its trackside hotels in Las Vegas and Silverstone, with exhilarating and surprise experiences for guests and racegoers.
This year, Hilton and McLaren are gearing up to create even more exclusive access and content across the racing calendar including the signature “Join the Team” experience that puts one lucky Hilton Honors member and their guest in team kit and embedded in the garage for a race weekend.
“Hilton. For the Stay.” branding will continue to be featured on the McLaren MCL38, team kit and driver overalls of McLaren Formula 1 drivers Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri.
Matt Dennington, executive director, Partnerships & Accelerator, McLaren Racing, said, “It’s fantastic to extend this long-standing partnership with Hilton and reach a 20-year milestone together next year. Hilton is renowned for providing world-class experiences for its guests, and we are fortunate enough to call Hilton home as the team travels around the world.”
Mark Weinstein, chief marketing officer, Hilton, said, “F1 is a sport always on the go – so we’re proud to be where McLaren Racing stays. Our Team Members are honoured to deliver the best of the Hilton stay experience to the McLaren Formula 1 Team, and along the way to create some truly incredible experiences and content for Papaya fans and our Hilton Honors members around the world.
“We celebrated a particularly exciting year in 2023, bringing guests and fans to the heart of the action with once-in-a-lifetime experiences at more races than ever before - including our Stay on the Grid at the first ever Las Vegas Grand Prix. We’re thrilled to continue to expand our long-standing and successful partnership and we have even more opportunities planned than ever before. We wish the McLaren team all the best for an exciting season ahead!”
