CALGARY, AB – The Westley Calgary Downtown, Tapestry Collection by Hilton celebrated its first anniversary on June 30, 2022. The hotel marked the occasion with a special event with local dignitaries and community leaders, including Calgary Mayor, the Honourable Jyoti Gondek; MLA for Calgary-Buffalo, Joe Cici; Calgary Ward 7 Councilor, Terry Wong; Tourism Calgary leaders Carson Ackroyd, Fraser Abbott, David Woodward and Cindy Good; representatives from Travel Alberta, including Darlene Fedoroshyn and Rhonda Hughes; Eduardo Hernandez from Hilton Hotels & Resorts and renowned Calgary-based chocolatier, Bernard Callebaut.
The event included Bossa-Nova themed décor, live jazz music provided by Johnny Summers Band, a retro candy bar provided by The Sugar Cube, chocolate cigars provided by Bernard Callebaut Chocolaterie, authentic cigars provided by Zigarren, cocktails and tapas provided by Fonda Fora, in addition to guided tours of the hotel.
