Luxury hotel unveils transformation of its guest rooms & suites following the debut of its new signature restaurant and spa enhancements

ATLANTA, GA. -- The renowned Waldorf Astoria Atlanta Buckhead is pleased to announce the completion of its transformative renovation project, debuting a top-to-bottom refresh of all 127 guest rooms and suites, including new Astoria Suites and a grand Presidential Suite redesign. The property-wide renovation, which commenced in 2022, includes the hotel’s new signature restaurant, Brassica, and its iconic Peacock Alley lounge and Solarium spaces, as well as an enhanced Waldorf Astoria Spa

Led by the award-winning design firm BHDM Design, the renovation was inspired by local Atlanta influences. Bringing to life the destination’s “City Within the Forest” concept, guests will discover rich woods and warm, seductive colors, complemented by design touches that embrace the lush greenery and nature that surround Atlanta throughout the hotel’s spaces. 

A New Guest Room and Suite Experience

The “City Within the Forest” narrative can be experienced throughout the guest rooms. Corridors have been updated with new paint, custom dogwood-inspired carpet by Jamie Stern and curated artwork from Soho Myriad. Guest rooms are light and lovely retreats, thoughtfully appointed for guests to work, lounge, dine, and dream. Custom cream-colored sofettes are met by dark walnut and bronze round tables, suitable for both dining and working, while new custom swing arm wall sconces with over-scaled shades provide residential warmth. Windows are dressed with BHDM-designed custom tone-on-tone panels, developed and printed with Schumacher Hospitality in an ombre flowering branch motif. Underfoot, new carpeting in soft and warm gray and pearl tones was inspired by Chanel tweed. Custom artwork throughout, created by local Atlanta artists, adds understated modernity.

More than twenty-five Signature Suites are adorned with custom tables and upholstery, walnut millwork, and newly furnished balconies with views of downtown Buckhead. This includes two newly created Astoria Suites, which offer over 1,000 square feet of comfort to guests and are distinguished for their two large terraces and kitchenettes outfitted with state-of-the-art appliances, providing spacious comfort and convenience to guests.

Grand Presidential Suite Redesign

Most notably, Waldorf Astoria Atlanta Buckhead debuts a grand redesign of its crowning Presidential Suite, offering 2,340 square feet of space for guests to enjoy. The Presidential Suite presents an elevated residential feel: a fireside lounge is housed in updated deco millwork and bespoke furnishings including custom-designed tables, seating, lighting, and curated artwork. A silver-leaved ceiling brings warmth into the space, while a working kitchen with polished walnut cabinets and stone marble counters and backsplash allows chefs, caterers, and culinary enthusiasts to feel right at home. High-end appliances elevate it all. Dinner is served at a new custom dining table with chairs for six and an island that can also seat three. The adjacent master bedroom suite is decked with a floor-to-ceiling upholstered headboard, as well as new furnishings and contemporary artwork. 

Additional features of the Presidential Suite include the palatial master bathroom with a deep soaking tub overlooking the city and master closet, as well as two private terraces overlooking the surrounding Buckhead neighborhood. Guests also have the option to connect the suite with an adjoining room to create a larger two-bedroom suite, ideal for families and multigenerational travelers. 

Reimagined Dining

Alongside the redesigned accommodations, guests may enjoy the newly opened signature restaurant, Brassica, which weaves together brasserie-style French cooking with regionally sourced ingredients, drawing culinary inspiration from Georgia and the American South. Together, with its new intimate bar that embraces the history and heritage of American craft cocktails, the stylish and sophisticated Peacock Alley lounge, and enchanting Solarium for private dining, Brassica has quickly emerged as one of Buckhead’s newest culinary hotspots. An Enhanced Spa Experience

Guests looking for respite can book an experience at the enhanced 15,000 square-foot Waldorf Astoria Spa, which is designed to serve as an urban wellness sanctuary. The spa features thirteen revamped treatment rooms, vitality pools, 60-foot saline lap pool with a private terrace overlooking the hotel’s English Garden, and fitness center alongside an extensive treatment menu that embraces the “City Within the Forest” ethos with its signature body wraps, exfoliation treatments, and massage therapies. A Look Ahead

Planned for later this year, the hotel’s meeting and event spaces will commence renovation, completing the entire property’s refresh. The 12 meeting rooms on the second floor will receive a decor and lighting refresh, while the ballroom on the lobby level will be fully renovated. The project is slated to begin in Q4 of this year.
