Forbes Travel Guide Awards Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills the Prestigious Five‑Star Hotel Designation

La Prairie Spa and Jean‑Georges Beverly Hills, part of the leading luxury hotel, also earn top accolades

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. - Forbes Travel Guide (“FTG”), the world-renowned and only global rating system for luxury hotels, restaurants and spas, today announced its annual Star Rating list, presenting the Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills with a new Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star hotel award for the third year, and presenting the La Prairie Spa at Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills with a Five-Star spa award for the second year. The hotel’s signature restaurant, Jean-Georges Beverly Hills, was also given a Four-Star restaurant award. The hotel and its two entities will be showcased along all Star Award winners on ForbesTravelGuide.com

Located in the heart of Beverly Hills, Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills opened in June 2017 and boasts 119 deluxe rooms and 51 world-class suites. Designed by renowned interior design firm Pierre-Yves Rochon, Inc., the property’s art-deco influenced design has wowed locals and visitors alike since its inception. The property is home to the first West Coast dining outposts by legendary French chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten, the signature restaurant Jean-Georges Beverly Hills, and the al-fresco dining hotspot, The Rooftop by JG, which sits atop the 12-story building. Jean-Georges Beverly Hills, helmed by executive chef Steve Benjamin, offers delectable seasonal California dishes with locally sourced foods.

The award-winning hotel also features 6,300 sq. feet of meeting and event spaces and is home to the only La Prairie Spa in Southern California, which offers an array of nourishing treatments and fine products. The 5,000 sq. foot spa has six private treatment rooms, relaxation areas, plush lounges and is open seven days a week. The rooftop pool continues to be a draw for travelers, where they enjoy the best 360-degree views of the city from downtown Los Angeles to the Pacific Ocean.

In addition to winning the Forbes Five-Star awards three years in a row, the property was ranked in the Conde Nast Traveler 2017, 2018, and 2019 Readers’ Choice Awards as a Top Hotel in Los Angeles, best new hotel on the 2018 Travel + Leisure It List, Travel + Leisure “World’s Best” Awards in 2018 and 2019, and annually by U.S. News and World Report as a Top Hotel in Los Angeles.

“We are honored to win the prestigious Forbes Five-Star award again this year, and we are so proud to be recognized among the best hotels, spas and restaurants in the world,” said Vanessa Williams, general manager at Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills. “Our team works tirelessly to ensure guests have an unforgettable experience from before the time they arrive on property until after they depart, with even the smallest details tended to, and this award is a wonderful recognition of that hard work.”

“We have been committed to championing genuine Five-Star service for more than 60 years, and this year’s winners, as always, exemplify the very highest standards in hospitality,” said Filip Boyen, CEO of Forbes Travel Guide. “It is difficult to earn a Forbes Travel Guide rating, and all our Star-Rated winners have shown how incredibly deserving they are of their accolades by demonstrating sheer dedication in their passion for service. We congratulate them all.”
