Alan Watts is President, Asia Pacific, Hilton. He oversees almost 1,400 hotels in the company’s trading and pipeline estate, across 12 brands currently deployed in the region.
Since joining Hilton in January 2018, Alan has led the company’s strategy to bolster its market share and deliver superior trading performance for hotel owners and investors. Expanding on the company’s network-effect, Asia Pacific has chartered industry-leading deals including the signing of 1,000 Home2 Suites by Hilton hotels in the Greater China region. Under his leadership, Hilton has maintained strong growth momentum across the region, cementing its leading position where one in four hotels under construction in Asia Pacific now carries the Hilton flag.
This growth trajectory continues with recent landmark signings marking upcoming brand debuts in key markets. These include the award-winning Waldorf Astoria brand in Japan, Malaysia and Australia, as well as the successful roll-out of Hilton Garden Inn under both management and franchised agreements across the region. Today, Hilton continues to be the fastest-growing hospitality company in Asia Pacific, recognised for its high market share premium and lauded for its award-winning workplace culture as the top hospitality company to work for in the region.
