Alexandra Coleman is vice president and global brand leader of Canopy Hotels. In this role, she leads the brand’s strategy, positioning, performance and continued growth, partnering across Hilton and with owners and operators to deliver distinctive, locally inspired experiences for guests.
Alexandra has spent much of her career shaping hospitality brands and experiences. She began her hospitality career in digital marketing for The Ritz-Carlton and EDITION brands before holding senior leadership roles at Marriott International spanning digital and social media marketing, customer insights, brand strategy and experience design. During her eight years with the company, she guided work across Marriott’s portfolio of 30 brands, including W Hotels, JW Marriott, Marriott Hotels, Courtyard and Residence Inn.
Before joining Hilton, Alexandra led upscale brand management at Choice Hotels International, overseeing strategy and experience development across its Radisson, Cambria and Ascend brands. She also led brand and marketing for JBG SMITH’s residential and retail portfolio – applying hospitality principles to mixed-use destinations including National Landing, home to Amazon’s second headquarters.
Alexandra believes the strongest brands are built not only through strategy, but through the thoughtful and memorable experiences they create for people. Her connection to hospitality extends into her personal life: she and her husband are owners of several restaurants in the Washington, D.C. area, including The Dubliner, The Salt Line, Dauphine’s and Ometeo.
Alexandra holds an MBA from Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Bucknell University.
