Graduate by Hilton Princeton — New Jersey

Located directly across from Princeton University's campus on historic Nassau Street, Graduate by Hilton Princeton occupies a meticulously restored and expanded 1918-era student dormitory. When it opened in 2024, the 180-room property marked the first new hotel to open in Princeton in nearly 90 years, with interiors filled with playful references to the university's history and traditions. In the Gothic-inspired lobby, guests are greeted by carved wooden tiger mascots, a 30-foot communal study table and vintage Princeton Senior Jackets. Guest rooms feature bedside lamps inspired by a Revolutionary War-era cannon buried behind Nassau Hall, while the hotel's signature restaurant, Ye Tavern, takes its name from a 1930s bar that once occupied the site.

Waldorf Astoria Los Cabos Pedregal — Mexico

Reached through Mexico’s only privately owned Dos Mares tunnel, Waldorf Astoria Los Cabos Pedregal occupies a secluded 24-acre enclave where the Pacific meets the southern tip of Baja California. A recent, resort-wide transformation brought new depth to the guest experience, with 112 redesigned accommodations shaped by the artistry of Mexico. Textiles, sculpture, furniture and works by artisans from Oaxaca, Baja California Sur, Jalisco and beyond lend each space a distinctive sense of place. That connection continues at the table and in the spa: TRAVESÍA reimagines the taco in a nine-course tasting menu, while treatments draw on Mexico’s folk-healing traditions. The result is a rare expression of seclusion and refinement, grounded in the creativity and character of its setting.
